Default Medical post redundancy

Anyone know the law on how long your ex-employer keeps medical going after they've made you redundant? Is there a specified time period in the labour laws or is it the case that once redundant they have zero responsibility for you?

Meow will know better but I think it is until the end of your contract, once you get your final pay that's it.

Thanks, this person has worked their notice period but Visa not yet cancelled which was why we thought there might be a possibility.

BC is right. Standard to keep it going to end of the notice period as it is a perk of employment. I have known the odd employer allow membership of a scheme for longer by saying nothing to the insurance company, but the provider is not obliged to insure someone who is no longer an employee.
