yes soukie i know l is contractor who are having probs but also a dxb/ad consultants job losses as well.

Word of advise, Dubai is going down with the financial crisis. Abu Dhabi stopped any new projects coming up. So UAE is pretty dried up for new jobs. Saudi and the other middle east countries seem to offer better money at the current moment. check out www.monstergulf.com/
Qualification is not an issue in the middle east, I have been working out of my degree since I graduated. Its how you present your self as a package to a company that counts.

sorry but there are thousands of 'qualified engineers' and the like who have been made redundant already living here, so i think that as an outsider you would find it extremely difficult to find a job, because if the industry picks itself up in the next month or so, there are many people already here, so in companies point of view, able to start immediately and also cheaper as local hire etc.
