Ideas for Eid???

Ideas for Eid???
I know it depends on the moon but has anyone heard which date Eid falls on this year? have heard its the 2nd but haven't been able to confirm it. Any suggestions on where to go/what to do?

From a woman who's lived here for 29 years (or so) you're asking us????? 
We (at emirates) have been tentatively suggested that we'll have Tuesday 2nd and Saturday 5th off! So I guess they think it'll be then. However if some bloke in sandals doesn't see the moon then we'll all be back slaving over our hot pc's for another day.

The school my dd attends have decided that they will break for Eid at the end of the day on the Monday 1st Novemeber......

Eid is declared by Saudia Arabia upon sighting of the moon not when and who died.

MBC's Eid holiday dates are Weds 2nd and Thurs 3rd.
