They say that the lower the number plate ''number'' the more important ''and rich'' the person is...So I guess ''8'' is quite important..
A friend of mine had an accident last week with a local woman (her fault) but by the time it got to the Police Station ...His Fault and there was nothing he could do

Stu you are in Kuwait aren't you??? I am sure there were other posters on here who were offering support earlier on, let's hope they see this and help. you got to give it longer than a few weeks, that's a cert. From what I can gather there is no similarities between Kuwait and Dubai apart from a couple of decent malls and the weather.
good luck

Same here in Oman. I got hit up the backside by a yocal who was doing over a 80 in 60 limit. The norm if you are hit from behind, it is the other persons fault. Got to the ROP, who did not say a word of English, did not know what was going on for 20mins until a company PRO arrived, who then told me it was MY FAULT, for turning a corner with plenty of room and getting hit up the ares by a speeding local. Oh yeah he got fined 10RIALS.
accident involving a 3rd party (LOCAL) but your fault

Thanks for your relpies - it is the technical aspects of the job that are the problem and i do not think there is any way that this aspect will improve without me going into too much details here. Not sure whether i cut my losses and go back to the UK (don't want to do that!) or try and find something else whilst out this way. Single guy no other baggage...
I am happy to be out this way, the non-work side of things is fine and i would survive it all no problem, (this isn't a personal relocation issue). It's a technical job thing. Hmmm...investigation required methinks...
