Stu you are in Kuwait aren't you??? I am sure there were other posters on here who were offering support earlier on, let's hope they see this and help. you got to give it longer than a few weeks, that's a cert. From what I can gather there is no similarities between Kuwait and Dubai apart from a couple of decent malls and the weather.

good luck

Looks like a trip across the border to Dubai could be in order (just an excuse really to have alcohol more accessible)

Same here in Oman. I got hit up the backside by a yocal who was doing over a 80 in 60 limit. The norm if you are hit from behind, it is the other persons fault. Got to the ROP, who did not say a word of English, did not know what was going on for 20mins until a company PRO arrived, who then told me it was MY FAULT, for turning a corner with plenty of room and getting hit up the ares by a speeding local. Oh yeah he got fined 10RIALS.

Thanks for your relpies - it is the technical aspects of the job that are the problem and i do not think there is any way that this aspect will improve without me going into too much details here. Not sure whether i cut my losses and go back to the UK (don't want to do that!) or try and find something else whilst out this way. Single guy no other baggage...

I am happy to be out this way, the non-work side of things is fine and i would survive it all no problem, (this isn't a personal relocation issue). It's a technical job thing. Hmmm...investigation required methinks...

I definitely agree with the others, I as a well experience expat lady would even go so far as to say give it at least six months and this time next year you will be sitting thinking why did it bother me so much. 50/50 is what it takes you go half way and others will be there to help. Chin up and smile
