A very strange post. What is a "Director's package"? Surely it depends on the size of the company. I have been classed as a Director in the past but working for a company with only six employees.

If you are not getting 1 million dollars per year it is a bad deal, hope that helps

Re: Help to avoid another sleepless night for me in the UK plse
Thanks guys, after a few hours of tossing and turning and a little sleep you have made me smile! OK position is for Int. Industrial Company already in Dubai.
Monthly Salary Dhs 45,000
Villa Allowance Dhs 216,000/ yr (18,000) they will also pay DEWA and Muni charge
Education 57,000/yr for each child (secondary)
Fully expensed Car
Medical for all family (not dentist)
30 workings days holiday
Flights home for family once yr
Container to and back
Bonus potential 30%
I think it is OK, we certainly do not lead a grand lifestyle. I also need to factor in extra tuition for one who is dyslexic (I do that now). We will have no commitments in UK. I would like to be able to put some money aside each month but also allow kids to continue music lessons, and after school activities. I think I have paid a bit too much attention to some of the horror stories and not put a good perspective on it i.e. reasons why people got into trouble was perhaps they were not living within their means.
Thanks to you all for your help and support.

Many Thanks Sandboy, that is good to know, as when I approached recruiting companies for advice I got mixed messages. Hope you have a good rest of the day and I will hopefully sleep better tonight, I just think sometimes mums can get over concerned! (well me anyway)

In terms of allowances - you will be able to get a decent 4/5 bed villa for around 200/210k. Schooling - 57k/each child/year will cover the cost of education.
Therefore, only expenses will be what you've mentioned above plus the usual..utilities/shopping/council tax equivalent (being 5% of annual rent)/socialising/etc. AED 45,000 will be more than enough to get buy on and save a reasonable amount.
Can't comment on whether salary is good or not for your husband - but it is certainly at the senior manager rates offered in Dubai.

Thank you Mogs for taking the time to confirm that it is OK. I do appreciate it as I have noted that you guys do get these requests all the time and understand how 'boring' it must be to offer advice and repeat the whole thing time and time again. I just needed to hear and thank you again, have a good day.

Your kids are in secondary school. 57,000 won't cover the secondary tuitions at the better British schools. Most of it but not quite there. Dubai College's tuition is around 20,000 per term for secondary. JESS is the same.
So you'll be a little bit out of pocket. to cover the fees. Up to you to decide if it's worth it to press for the full amount covered.
