Default Gulfair - Safe to travel?

Hello all, is it safe to travel with Gulfair these days if you're stopping in Bahrain on transit? The Gulfair website seems to show everything is running normally.

I'm not with you old chap. All flights are running normally and it's business as usual. Transit passengers will be greeted with the usual for an airport in the region - grey walls and a faint smell of piss. There are no rockets being fired at the airport if that's what you mean...?

Is the causeway open normally for trips in and out of Saudi? I would guess that road travel is currently restricted to between 4:00 am and 8:00 pm? Like many business folks I usually fly from the UAE into Bahrain then get picked up by a limo service to go across to Khobar...

I did the trip across from Bahrain into Saudi for the past couple of days and have had zero problems. Business as usual really give or take an extra check at each end.

So, for example, if one should fancy a night out in, er, lets say Diggers? at the weekend, then the route from Saudi is clear?

How is Manama city at the moment?, anything to worry about? they aren't targetting Saudi registered cars or anything daft like that?

There's probably more danger inside Diggers than outside it.

a few bruises from a beating by shias who dislike owners of Saudi registered cars will take a week a clear
Clap will take two weeks so yes it is safer on the streets than in Diggers

Note that due to a lack of Saudi punters; you should be able to negotiate a better price, get a younger model or best of all get two for one

Have fun

Best game in Barhain airport is find the bar. No signs but if you do find it its like Alladins cave and they had Tuborg Gold on draft. This was about six year ago.

Another one buy a bottle of rum and go to the fake M"Ds shop and order 15 cokes and try to drink in the lounge at 2pm in Ramadan, this is a fun game with 17 of you all dressed in Rugby polos. Oh the exuberence of youth.

Probably worthy of note is that Gulf Air has been cancelling flights daily for the last few days. Tehran and Lebanon for political reasons but also Kuwait and Abu Dhabi so they are not really reliable at the moment. I am leaving with Etihad to AD just to be sure.
