Default good deal or not abu dhabi

My husband has been offered a chance to go to abu dhabi to work, we are not to sure about the offer they have offered him 450 Euros as a daily rate they will fly us all over but nothing else. it comes to about £93,600 but if we have to pay all out accomdation and kids school fees then is it actally a good deal or not. what sort of prices would be looking at for example for a 3 bed villa, does not have to be too fancy. any advice would be great. ta

a villa you would need minimum of 250k dhs a year school fees it depends on which curriculum, but the problem is locating suitable accomodation and more importantly getting a school place, waiting lists and well oversubscribed, what ages of children and which curriculum.

i'm UAE national from Abu Dhabi, the offered you partner got around middle range of salary as long he well experienced. My advice is let him come first and check it out by him self. the only draw back going to be the housing

But the package includes what exactly?

there is no real package, he gets the money and medical insurance and flights for the family out, but he has to cover our medical, schooling and housing. the price of schooling is no worry but the housing is an issue i would prefer a house or villa with 3 beds not to fussy where so long as it clean and safe and bigger than a small postage stamp would this be possible on this wage?

lum sum salary.. not really a good deal because housing will cost you for 3 bedroom villa around 350K AED by 4.5 to Euro.

medical insurance they have to arrange it as per our labour law as long it is private sector

let him negotiate this with the employer

can i offer a word of friendly advice. Your hubby is obviously a contractor hence the day rate..

450Euros equates to approx 350GBP per day...

I am an electrical engineer type although not a contractor, but my point is on the projects out here, i know there are elec engineers/commissioning types on day rates of 1500USD, approx 750GBP per day.

However as they are day raters, this doesnt includes accom (hotel apartment) and vehicle..that is provided by the company, as well as Per Diem living expenses.

I could have went day rating (chasing the dollar its called!!) but i am here with my family. This is a family move for us, so tbh in my experience day raters are just a bum in seat and are the first to be pumped when things go quiet and also they dont really give a hoot about your family etc.

I would think carefully before moving a family all the way here on this kind of deal...
