Emirates EK007 arrives LHR at 7.05am.
You won't get much earlier than that because Heathrow closes between about midnight and 6am IIRC.

Ta. BA and Qatar have flights in about that time as well, and the best option seems to be Qatar arriving into Gatwick at 6.55. There's a shuttle between Gatwick and Heathrow isn't there? Wonder how much a cab would cost.

You wouldn't be going from LGW to LHR to catch another flight, would you? It's just that you'd be travelling on the busiest part of the M25 at the busiest time of day, so I'd allow a LOT of time to get there by road.
Given that, what's the point of flying into LGW at 06.55 and then travelling by road to LHR (which could easily take you 90 minutes to 2 hours on the M25 at that time of day) when you could just fly straight into LHR at 07.05?

I've been asked to find the cheapest flight, and Emirates are bloody expensive. As are BA. And the Emirates site won't let me even see that 7.05 one. Must be full.

Have you looked at Royal Brunei? They're usually good on price, and they go into LHR. They don't serve alcohol, though, which would obviously send some expats into a blind panic.
BTW, the 7.05 flight is definitely there (I've just looked again), but it's on the second page of results on my screen and I have to click the tiny little link at the bottom right of the first page of results to get to it.
Assuming you're talking about travelling this Friday, the price is AED 4970.

nice flights - but if one goes out of service you're screwed... as my 12 hour delay in DXB a couple years back will testify to. 12 hours delay and if they'd only told the truth and taken a descsion to reschedlue I could have been back in my bed in DXB instead of spending the whole night there...

The price I got for this Friday on Emirates was 5020.

KLM do a fair price early morning LHR. It's not direct wouldn't bother for business but for personal its not a terrible option. Via Saudi (stop) and Amsterdam (xfer)though. Takes an average 200 quid off my ticket price for an extra 3 hours.
Just remembered reading you quit though, so outta Doha for you =)
OH flew QA for 3500 3 weeks ago, musta gone up for season

Qatar is the best airline operating in the Middle East, by a long chalk.
You can catch the Gatwick Express to central London (30 mins) and get the tube to Heathrow in another 35 mins.
The 9.30pm Qatar flight out of Heathrow is top draw. Brand new A340-600's, Biz class has a bar (not a proper Virgin Upper style bar but a place with stools where you can chill), excellent food and a good choice of champagne (they use a vintage Laurent Perrier)
They fly the slightly older A330-300s into Gatwick. I go on these two flights a lot for long weekends in London. Land Friday morning take off Sunday nights.

Are you paying for this yourself or the company?
It is cheaper to book a flight on line from Dubai to LHR and pay for it with uk credit card and address. Mr star did this when he went back for two nights and his mate booked and paid for it and he gave him the money when he got there.Saved 300quid.
The prices are more expensive early in the morning as it is the businessmans travel time ..(peak time).
Can you not land thursday night and get a corporate hotel?
