Default Finding the right area to live

Could do with some help from those of you already in Dubai.

I will be working at DIC, so im keen to live close by, however i have been told that SZR is shit at that time in the morning and J5 is at a stand still.

Also being young-ish i like to go out alot and socialise, and am thinking that maybe E-hills and Meadows maybe a bit far in a taxi at 2am, full of vodka.

so....do i go for living close to work, and spending half my night in a taxi, or stay closer to town (bars and clubs) and suffer the traffic in the mornings.......????

Have you thought of living in some of the finished towers in Dubai Marina or a rented villa in Umm Suqueim?

DO take a look at the Muroon Towers Complex just off the first interchange of the SHeikh Zayed Road, they are apartments but they are much closer to town

JD Meadows too far and I don't want vodka louts anywhere near me , ask JC he lives in the vodka zone, otherside of bridges far enough away not to interfere with normal 2.2 family living

DE ... That would be the Murooj complex, and I for one think the workmanship is very good, and for someone that vowed never to live in an apartment because of having children, has changed her mind.

The Murooj Complex is well sitatued for being close to town, all the drinking holes ( I would nt know this though) and from some apartments I have seen, the inside of each apartment is well thought out. Providing a washer/ dryer and a biuilt in oven and hob.
A two bed goes from 60'000 Dhs, there will be on completion, two large pools, tennis, sqaush courts, gym, sauna, under ground parking, entry security, a shopping mall, supermarket, restuarants and an English pub.... Now thats within spitting distance!!

A three bed would cost you 92'000 Dhs, not to be sneezed at! I'm looking forward to moving.... I cant be arsed with big villas anymore! Though the only thing I will miss will be the garden and being able to sunbathe in privacy.
