Default Expat Contract Negotiations for Saudi Arabia

I’ve been in talks for a job in Saudi and I t’s getting serious.

It’s likely to be a 3 year offer for an executive director level position. It’s a full on expat package.

I’ve never negotiated for this type of situation, and I know the Middle East has its own nuances. Can anyone offer tips so might avoid pitfalls while also not leaving money on the table?

Do they still do incentive bonuses to keep people on till the end of contract? I am also particularly interested in protecting myself in case the project is halted.

Any insights would be most appreciated.
