Etisalat Broadband
Folks, hearing in the pub that folks have been waiting upto 3 weeks for Etisalat to install the broadband from date of paying the set-up costs. Anyone had a recent experience of setting it up with Etisalat?

Re: Etisalat Broadband
In my previous place I waited about 5 months between requesting and installation of the cabling, and then about another month before they said they would soon be ready to get things rolling. I gave up at that point coz I knew I was going to move. Hadn't parted with any money up to that point, though.
Just about to try to get things moving in the new pad. Previous tenants gave up (don't know the details), but spoke to my landlord last night (who lives downstairs) and he says he had no problem and Etisalat provide an excellent service. He was wearing a long white dress.
Will keep you posted.

Re: Etisalat Broadband
Went in yesterday and they said connection/installation within 4 days.
Was rather surprised at the speeds on offer, the explorer residents guide I bought slated the speeds and prices. 16mb for 349 per month on the elife package. Given nearly everything else is overpriced here it kinda feels like I got one over on them.
