Hi

Has anybody had experience of getting their child into a Britsh/International School in Jeddah?

I am moving over in April with my family joining me in late August 2010 - my daughter who will be 5 (and a British passport holder) will need a place at school for Sept 2010.

The 2 schools i have been in touch with have said there is no guarantee of place. I am obviously concerned about this.

Not really sure, but have you tried searching out other threads on schools? Not sure how many would be relevant to your exact question, but it'll be somewhere to start

I enquired back in November for Sep 2010 entry to British School and was told there was no waiting list at that time. Also looked around the compound next to the school.

but am now setting up in Riyadh...

looked good. few pools, floodlit football pitch, tennis ct, tenpin bowling - usual compound fair. Fraction of the price of Riyadh compounds!!

Obviously it's all very daunting - reschooling, family move, new job,etc !!
