Will i need my international driving license to hire a car or is a uk one valid ???

Packed most of my clothes and stuff. Sold my house last year when i went to Saudi so all my stuff has been in storage for a while now...will get that shipped over once i have sorted out a villa.

Understand about suitcase weight - I always travel with too much stuff so moving is going to be a nightmare!
All OK thanks - still have some time so will now worry until after Xmas (she says!!)
Have you sorted out your accomm or do you have to move into a hotel?

Once u get yr visa the full UAE takes about an hur to get + eye test + pp form in Arabic.
You can get a tourits DL that allows u to drive a private car - quite handy if u know someone with one spare..

I was gonna buy but TA5 has put me off the idea.. think ill rent for a while and see how the market pans out
