Default Doha Fishing.

Hi All,
I might be moving to Doha in the next couple of months and wanted to ask if anyone can help with this topic.

Does anyone here fish and if so, do you need a boat or any chances one can fish off the shore? I currently fish here and hoping to bring some equipment with me when I move but considering I will be new and all, a boat might not be an option. Are there any locals that can take you fishing if you rent a boat and bring your own equipment? Not looking for anything grand but just curious to know my options.

Thanks for your help.

There's some decent charter companies out here . One decent one out of The Pearl and onne out of Lusail Marina . Hotel also run charters plus the Dhow captains will take you as well .

The fishings good depending on what time of the year , shite in the summer but good around now and the April tides .

Theres a fair bit of info in www.timeoutdoha.com

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

I have been reading up on the hotel charters but from what I have read most take out groups and catch small fish. I was hoping to find dhow captains that can take you in a little to cast and run lures etc.... will continue with my research!

britexpat - Will surely reach out once there and settled. I am no pro but between the two of us we can surely figure things out.
