You sound very boingy! Anyway a few of us occasionally meet up and the bad influences make me drink waaaay too much.

(Ahem you know who you are!!)

You'll be fine. Its easyish to meet people If you get out there. Which it sounds like you're more than happy to do.

Hehe i sound abit boingy! Yeah i guess i do! I feel that who the hell gets a chance to move to a place like Qatar for 10 months with everything paid for! Sun all year, beach, golf etc etc. Not that many i think!

I live in Oslo now so i dont think its gonna be more expensive in Qatar, especially alcohol! :P

I will proberly be moving next week sometime, but still have no idea where i will be living. The Sheiks that own the club just say everything will be sorted haha.

britexpat76, Cheers for the info regarding the football.

Hehe ive been reading alot of threads about Qatar and **** me ive been laughing at co durham boys comments! Hahaha you are not the most positive person about this place are you!

I have a feeling im gonna enjoy myself! I dont care about the rude arabs or the traffic etc etc.

So lets all meet up and have a blast! BBQs, Partys, Poker nights etc etc! Why the hell not!

Another thing is that i have a feeling that i wont get an alcohol license because im a sportsman.. How to solve that problem? Do you guys smuggle anything in? And how? Water bottles etc etc?

Mate , the positivity wears off at around 3 months , when you get to around 14 years of Gulf living it's paper fu**ing thin

You need a certain defense mechanism to be long term in this joint and being shall we say 'cyinical' can help the bitter pill .

Don't worry about your booze license , you only need a letter from your sponsor . Don't try and smuggle booze in as you'll get caught and a big horrible swarthy local arab might shine a torch up your arse .
