Bee Bee its really nice to see someone enjoy Dubai and say so so many people on this and other sites complain about it and pull it down yet remain over there, to be honest its not so much this site as the one which gives the 1 word answers, and is full of miserable dare I say males who want to pull everything down, and it does seem to be the males on this site as well, maybe there is a common denominator there somewhere, see you all soon.

Sounds like a sensible answer, but what was the question?

If you mean in the sense of a religious holiday, then yes. As a secular holiday where everyone gorges themselves and gets presents, then it's still as popular as ever.

We've had one Christmas in Dubai (last year), and it just didn't seem right. Okay, we had presents and the tree and turkey etc, but ultimately, it was a day like all the other identical days here. It could have been 7th March as much as it was 25th December.

We're off back to the UK in less than 24 hours, and really looking forward to it!

I love Christmas here....no bitching relatives, no freezing cold, enough money to buy nice presents, no inflated prices because it's Christmas( they are inflated all year round ),I can sit in my garden, flowers everywhere, pool ready to be used...hey ,what a wonderful life

Our one Christmas in Dubai was a strange affair. We did have a good time at the Christmas dinner and went to Ski Dubai and all that, but it didn't feel right without the extended family being around. It all went a bit flat on Xmas Day afternoon after we did a webcam link back to my mum. And going back to work on Boxing Day was just wrong, wrong, wrong!

Personally, don't know what Arbroath said....
However,if you don't mind me saying (I sound like such a boring fart)
Cut to the chase and admit:You Conf, are a hard faced bitch-I am a hard faced bitch;so is SyB . MH, BB, AnnaC,PTP,JVR20,,Dean etc etc-they post day in day out and they say in a less than controversial way-what they mean.
Perhaps there are some gobby ones-like us; cue Talking Heads.....baby its alright...then there are people like Lionheart and others-who have a life with an extraordinary factor.......

Don't say they don't belong in these Polls........

Hello mate,

How are you? Sorry that your Balkans didn't work out... (try the other cream next time, expatitis is a tricky one to cure, get a little sand down in your nether regions and it spreads to the Balkans before you know it. Painful) hope all is well with you. It's past my bed time, but will put on some Crowded House now in your memory...

Start blogging again. About nothing if you like, it worked for Seinfeld....

Take care and Happy Crimbo if we don't speak.

Auto.
