Changes to Dubai
Ill be back in a few months (get the world cup out of the way first!)
and wanted to know what, if anything has changed since i left.!
Is Al Marooj tarmac'ed yet?, Is SZ road still just a carpark at rush hour ??
Anything got better or much worse ?????

They have discovered that the plans for the Burj were upside down and are now commited to the worlds deepest dwelling.
The summers are much more bearable now Dubai has been fully encapsulated in a bubble. It's damn chill at times and there is a constant riot as opposing groups try to take control of the thermostat.
Emerati nationals have decided the traditional "dishdash" is no longer required and have taken to wearing stetson hats, hawaiian shirts and tight trunks to meetings. The Emerati ladies all wear skimpy thong bikinis and have bunny ears and all answer to the name of Marge.
The under reported worker revolts have increased in magnitute and they have now wreslted control of the oil and gas fields. An independent state of "United States Of Blue Overalls" has been founded and is awaiting ratification by the UN.
Longs Bar is now owned and opperated by Al Gore. He does stand up there on Thursdays.
