Having children is possibly the greatest commitment, and dude, if you aren't going to marry your girlfriend and the mother of your daughter, it's best that you don't bring them out here.

Back to the old Sharia wedding thing, can this happen in AD or are the examples being given only know to have occurred in Dubai?
If possible this could solve a number of issues for me, and will remove the need for the engagement ring (I may even make a profit when I sell it).

Agreed. I've always thought it odd two adults in a committed relationship who have children yet who refuse to get married. Strikes me as either a bit spoiled or selfish.

Have non-Muslim friends who got married in a Sharia court in AD just a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe so but as we have found out, other people have tried and got refused, it seems BB is right it depends who you see when you go to arrange and who you know

sorry to disagree CH ....but i got married in the sharia court in abu dhabi niether i or my DH are muslim ...and we have 3 step children ...and all is legal and totally excepted here ...if u are interested let me know i will give u a number for the muslim guy who arranged it for us xxx
