Boys college in Jeddah
Hello all,
I am starting work at JKS in September. As they do not currently teach boys at post 16 level ('A' level) can anyone recommend a good college to try for my son to start in September. Also any idea of costs would be appreciated. Thanks.

KSA don't usually do 'colleges' as such, post 16 A levels, or even GCSE re-sits tend to be done at the schools, so most kids will stay on at school for post 16 education, then onwards to University.
In Jeddah, the best bet is probably the British Continental School, or Jeddah Prep and Grammar, who both follow a UK curriculum, and so your son could take his A levels there.
Rough costs for that year group is probably around 38,000 sr per year, give or take a couple of grand either way.
There is also the American School, but then you're going down the IB route.

You're welcome, good luck. We spent two years in Jeddah, and now in Riyadh, but would rather be back in Jeddah if we had the choice.

It seems less 'religious' if that makes sense! is that what you find?
Where in Nottingham are you from? (if you are) sent 10 years in Sandiacre/Stapleford area... good times.

Definitely less strict than Riyadh, still has it's restrictions, but far easier to live in than dry and dusty Riyadh. THe people seem to reflect the climate here.
