Anyine know if there are any other beaches in Abu Dhabi apart from The Corniche?

I used to go to the past The Emirates Palace, it was nice it had wave action and the sand was better. Unfortunately there are a dozen tower blocks now built on it!

hahaha yep all gone. there is a new one at bateen beach, up by the new bridge, at 19th and 34th.

head south along 19th as far as you can go (i.e. start of the yet to open bridge) then turn left

yep as said go down 19th turn left at the big bridge and you will see it. its not near al gurm, thats on the main road, the bateen beach is on the other side of the channel etc.
