I'm following all leads!! I'm flinging loads of eco crap to the OH about Dubai to try and covince him that Dubs is trying to go green!! He's not covinced though, think i'll have to take him down SZR to show him the billboard "green promise"....

there are several consultancies here and finding a job shouldn't be a problem. a frind of mine is in one of them and if you want I can put you in touch so he'll at least get an idea of job prospects. also Environmental Impact Assessment / Statement and similar studies are always required and for him it should be a piece of cake. we receive a number of them and have no-one to do them; if he wants to do some freelancing I can pass anything we get from this end.

In banking terms there is one rule and one rule only - Keep 2 accounts:-
1) A local bank such as a Dubai based arab bank - Pay salary into this
2) Have a Global Bank account, such as HSBC or Barclays
On payment of your salary withdraw all your money and transfer to your own bank account.
If anything goes wrong in the UAE the arab banks have no jursidiction over other banks based outside of the UAE.
Trust me on this one, I have worked in investment banking for the last 4 years.
Its the safest bet.

Wow, thanks for your response Diablo- has really put a smile on my face when I was feeling a bit and rubbish about OH being back in the UK!
Yes, please, it would be great if you could put him in touch with your friend- if you could PM me his email address I will get my OH to get in touch..if you could let him know that my OH, Stuart will drop him a line, that would be really fantastic..!! Wow!! As for the freelancing, it's certainly something he would be interested in. If you get anything through, please drop him a line! I'll PM you his email...
We really appreciate the help- it's wonderful!!!Thank You!
