BAHRAIN STATUS
Hi
i was born in bahrain in 1964 and have a british birth cert and a bahraini one.
Do i qualify for residency or do i have to go through the usual channels. Only wondered if the independence from Iran in 1971 changed anything

Dont think there's any laws that give you residency on account of being born in the place. If your parents are from Bahrain etc (as in nationals) I guess then you could be a citizen. But if they're from elsewhere, doubt the birth certificate will help

You can only gain citizenship by decent and then only by the father, not the mother sorry!
