OK so have you an ATPL or just CPL? How many total hours etc etc. If only low hours no point in coming out here to try your luck - people with over 5/- hours have trouble getting an F/o job.

Yeah I did think about it. But being an instructor is not for me. I don't wanna build time on people's back if I'm unable to be a good teacher and make them succeed in their flight training. Teaching requires skills and I don't have them. Some wouldn't care but I do and I'm wayyyy too serious about my job that either I do it good or look for something else.

There are opportunities to fly cargo and small airplanes for commuters and those don't need a lot of experience. I mean if I had a thousand hours, do you think I'd apply for a small commuter or Cathay Pacific ? Let alone if I had 4000 hrs .... Emirates, Qatar, Ettihad, Saudi ....

This from you is just plain ridiculous, especially this:

Teaching requires skills and I don't have them
:scared:

If you don't have skills to be a flight instructor, then i seriously hope you don't get a job flying the big jets!!!! What are you doing in aviation then, if you don't have these skills?????????

It should all be about career progression, to be a better pilot you have to try and experience all sorts of flying, everything helps you in gaining proficiency in terms of flying and technical knowledge which you will one day apply in whatever flying situation your in, everything you can gain in terms of flying experience is essential in order to make you (us) more safe and efficient pilots. ;)

Regards

I was talking about teaching skills ... Do u have to be a good teacher in order to be a good Pilot ???? I really do not think so and far more experienced Pilots than think and told me the same. As a matter of fact, many experienced I have met and who were flying "the big jets" admitted teaching was not for them.

There's no way in hell I'll take some Pilot wannabee as a student just to build flight time on his back without caring his or her success. Unless you're among those CFI's ... Which would make you a really incompetent one.

It requires more than knowledge to be a good teacher. Haven't you ever had University teachers (If you did go to Post Graduate School) who were not born teachers ? And although you wouldn't question thier knowledge you would surely question tehir ability to transmoit that knowledge ? Have u practiced any sport ? ... Haven't you had a coach who was among the best in his discipline but who was a failure as a coach ?

I wasn't waiting for you to come tell me what I'm doing in aviation you smart mouth. And you seriously hope I don't fly the big jets? Thanks.

Being a good pilot does not require being a good instructor, if that's the case then why aren't all pilots instructors ???... Mr whatever your name is.

I seriously hope that you'll grow up some day and think about what I just said.

By the way, I was waiting for a joke before going to sleep. Thanx a lot Mr huuhh.. Whatever. :p

That was so childish of you my friend. What did you expect from me ? To be jealous ? Actually I'm not and I'm sincerely happy you managed to get a job as a Pilot and congratulations on my behalf. Hope you'll make it to the big jets.

Do u at least agree with what I replyed to you ?

Mate, i was just trying to make a point, i dont like seeing people fail with their dreams, but sometimes it is not possible to climb 5 steps at once! You have to do it one by one, and when i said i hope you dont get a job flying the big ones it wasn't true i wish you to suceed, because flying is the best there is i admit but just bear in mind that sometimes there's diversions to get to the top, ok you dont like instructing or you think you don't have the skills to do so that is why people get trained to do it so they gain the required skills, and i believe being an instructor you (we, all pilots) tend to learn alot, it will help you to be current and build the most important: hours!

So good luck whatever you decide.

Oh so now you wanna be nice and make sense ? Ok.. what's your name again? Whatever...
Thanks for the advice. Just keep in mind that I was not trying to climb 5 steps at once for I never aimed at flying for the majors from the beginning. I'm just keeping it real with the CFI thing.

Best wishes to you too.
