Aviation

Hi everyone

I am currently holding a Commercial Pilot License with no experience but with loads of motivation.

There's plenty of airlines of all kinds and sizes but they're not reachable. I have sent hundreds of applications but nothing seems to work, so I though of going there to look by myself. I do not know when exactly but I already have the idea in my head : get a ticket to the UAE, rent a car and go for a road trip and meet them in person. There's about 12 airports in the UAE. My best shots would be Doha, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Kaimah amon others. My financial situation is .. Humm humm, let's not talk about embarrassing things :( . That's why I'm ready to take the risk and spend whatever I have left

If you can help me out to find a pilot job, please do so.

Thank you

Yes, one pilot's wife has written me on my previous thread (dubai or sharjah or whatever), so I'll wait for other pple to show up and give me a hand if they can.

As a student pilot myself i know what you mean job wise, it is not an easy industry to crack, especially with not many hours on the log book, i guess persistance will pay off in the end but you just have to keep trying, i know people who took years for the first job others straight away, luck is also involved.

All the best.

You probably already know it, but have you tried www.pprune.org, middle east forum? There is lots of good stuff on there but sadly not much good news for anybody without an ATPL and lots of hours.

Yeah I know pprune. I always use it to try to get info. Most of the pple using the Middle East forum are experienced who talk about things that matter to experienced pple (salary, working conditions, conflicts with employer...) I have not reached that level to really care about comfort ... My main concern :scared: is to start making a living after having sacrificed so much

Yeah, the reason the Middle East forum is full of experienced people is because you (generally) need experience to get a job in the ME. Of course you can't get experience without a job but it was ever thus..... :(
