Been there a few times...didn't seem that bad to me. Yup Rockbottom (with it's racist bouncers) is pretty dire but I think Waxy's has to be the worst overall

Afew years ago i was staying in the ascot and went to Waxy's for a quiet after work pint on a friday (forgetting that friday was brunch day)

Myself and my mate from Aberdeen (tightest man alive incedentally) went in at 5pm got a wee 'dirty pint' as its known in the trade

It was like walking into a wild west saloon.

folk puking, fighting, snogging........

just like a night out in Newcastle

I have to disagree with the masses....Waxy's on a Friday is a good laugh IMHO

In my first week here someone dragged me along to Rockbottom ... I thought the name summed it up nicely
