Hi,

seems to be lots of people have stumbled over this thread and it seems i am the latest. Just wondering if someone can give me some pointers about work in Dubai and companies that are actually looking to recruit, lots of agencies about advertising jobs but i take their offers lightly !

So please can someone let me know the truth about living and working in Dubai!

I'm also a qualified architect (currently on aternity leave) and... er, have you seen how much work is going on in Dubai recently?! Every major construction company and his dog are out here. Every major architectural firm and his dog are out here. Every architectural recruitment agency and his dog are out here. Just stick your cv on siv or "careers in construction" asking for a placement in Dubai and you'll have half a dozen agents phone you within a week.

They won't bring over a cad-monkey, but will do for someone who has 3-5yrs+ exp in residential/commercial.
