Maybe... there was a good kite surfing scene - the winds are quite light for a lot of the year, however there are good periods.

Main problem is that locations close to Dubai have been destroyed for developements. There are good locations between Dubai and AD and Umm Al Quainn and Fujeriah coasts.

Try a post on the Dubai Kite Surfers Forum too. (http://www.dubaikiteclub.com/)

They should point you in the right direction

Thanks for that. Everything i have looked at ie windguru etc indicates 5-15knot range. looks like I might have to become a dangler!! Have always been meaning to give it go.
