From: Riyadh - as of end of August

Plenty of all of the above. However how easy they are to access depends how easy it is for you to meet people and that generally depends on where you live (ie: compound) and where you work.
There's a lot of sports stuff going on ranging from gentle to vigorous (!), the embassies have a lot of parties. There's also loads of other clubs including book clubs, choirs, orchestras etc.

Thanks for the question - and yeah, I could have guessed the answer ... So here we are - newbies - NOT in a particular compound , NOT invited every weekend to another party of the embassy - and - in my case - NOT heavily into 'sand driving' but fine with books, talks, p.q. an' whatsoever else.
Where do we FIND the contact -
similar question: all those expats coming, buying new cars, and swedish funiture - then leaving : is there any central blackboard in Riyadh or the web, where you offer the 'old' stuff instead of throwing it all away?

I am not leaving, just arrived, that's why I ask.
Yes , I Know the blackboard at Saco, but that is not a lot for
a multi-million capital with a high expat-turnover rate. I still hope there is a webpage around for this. Seemingly not here.
