I've been working in Saudi for the past few years on a business visa, anyhow the point is the job I've been doing is a project manager (fitout) now I want to get a iqama so I can bring my wife and kids out here.

My problem is can my business visa be changed to work visa or do I have to go home to get it done.

Also would there be a issue as I don't have a degree of any sorts

Any help would be most appreciated... thanks

You'd have to go home first, can't transfer a business visa into a residency visa whilst in Kingdom. Depending on the efficiency of your employer and the Saudi Embsassy, it can be done pretty quickly.

In terms of degree, it kind of depends what your job title says on the work visa. Usually, Saudi isn't as strict as the other gulf countries on degree qualifications, but you may be asked for qualifications when requesting a family visa.

Once you have your work visa, you'd have to come back to Saudi on your own, get your Iqama, then apply for the family visa.

I had my business visa transferred to an Iqama this year without leaving the country but id say generally it depends on your company and their connections. You can have an Iqama as a Project Manager without a degree. I know a guy in out office has this situation.
