Worried.

I am from the UK and my Fiancee is from the US.
We're now engaged but we're wanting to spend more time together before being married.
What worries us is the strain of being apart and being seperated by distance being repeated for long lengths of time, though while we're convinced we could cope with it.. we'd like to minimise the amount of time we spend apart during the whole process.
We had an idea in our heads originally of me visiting her for the 3 months of the temp visa and then her coming here for the (6 months?) of the temp visa.
Would it be possible for her to start the application process while I was already visiting the country on a temp visa, then would it be possible for her to come to the UK on a temp visa while the application process for the K1 completed?
We're looking for making the time we have to spend apart before being married an absolute minimum.
Thank you for any help in advance

What would probably be better, IMO, would be if she weren't to come over until the NOA 2 has been received cos after that the file will move to NVC and then onto the Embassy in London.
Which service centre will she be filing at? The length of time differs from one to another, (there are five service centres, the fastest being Vermont, the slowest ones are Texas and Nebraska).
I was lucky in that my petition was through Vermont, (took just under three months in total) and I was able to stay with my, then, fiance throughout the process. He even came with me to the Embassy and we flew home together.
Hope that helps.
Best wishes

yes, many couples do not survive the process, since you are so unsure about the strengh of your relationship, you probably wont survive it either. You are not allowed a temp vistor visa once your have filed for the fiance visa.

Actually, the POE officer asked my fiance his intent of visit, and he said, I'm here to visit my fiance. And they stamped it and let him through. He is coming again, but this time he'll bring some proof with him that he's going to return since it is getting closer, hopefully, to approval time. Plus, back then we didn't know it was risky to have your application in and no proof at the POE that you're going back to your home country.
