Default Wife not entering US same time as husband

My wife's brother and his family (wife + 2 kids) were granted immigration
visa last month at the Bombay consulate. He and his younger child came to
the US last week without any problems. His wife and the older child plan to
come to the US in November after completing some school course.

They did not read the visa stamp carefully. Upon checking the US visa stamp
on his wife and kid's passport, it says "must accompany husband/father".

Does my wife's brother have to go back to Bombay and accompany his wife and
child?

Can he just send to his wife a copy of the stamp that shows that he has
entered the US already? May be she can show that to the officer at the US
airport upon arriving.

What other options does he have?

Thanks

They have to accompany, or follow to join, the principal alien. I'd have evidence with me that the principal alien has already entered the United States in case they ask for it.
