wife got k3 visa mumbai consulate /experience
Hi darren , venkat, dipty,
my wife got the k3 visa at the mumbai consulate. The interview was only about 15 minutes. They ask only for one demand draft of Rs. 4900/- i.e. visa application fee. we both are from the same cast. she got the pcc - one from regional passport office and one from the Main police station in the town. she lives in town near Ahmedabad (gujarat state). she gave the application at the main police station and they ask her to pick up local pcc next day.I dont know how it works in mumbai. The questions they ask was:
how did you meet each other?
how many times did you meet before marriage?
Is this your first marriage?
Is your husbands first marriage?
where he lives in usa?
what he does in usa?
where he works?
how many people came in your marriage?
how many people live with your husband in usa?
when did you get married (marriage date)?
this are the question they ask at the mumbai consulate.
They issue the visa next day and she had to pick up at 3 pm from the information window.
I hope this helps you guys going through mumbai consulate.
any question let me know.
best of luck to everybody

CONGRATULATIONS !!!! You and your wife survived Mumbai ! :-))
I am a Gujarati too, as is my fiancee - however, since ours is a K-1
we are prepared for the worst - an 'admin review"
I am glad to hear that Mumbai can be very reasonable - since one only
reads the "horror stories" here, its scary.
Good luck to you both !! Whereabouts are you in the USA anyway ?
