Question Pakistanian's receive visas, Why not American families?

My Svetlana and our children Anastassia and Cassaundra are still stuck in Russia. Our interview was August 1. Everything was approved but no visas. You've heard this before, I know. Cassaundra has been in the hospital in Omsk, Siberia for 3 days with kidney infection and Anastassia's exema has returned with horrible sores. But it seems that nothing bothers the ones that I send information to. The president has not responded, Colin Powell has not resonded,The state department has not responded to the last 3 letters,a senator and a congressman has not had any luck either. The last letter from the Moscow embassy says that they cannot waive any conditions. This so called Administrative Processing is still going on.But what about the visas that were issued to the pakistanians. Their visa issurace takes less that one month from the time of application and in many cases may take as little as 10 days,[From Pakistan link]. Have any of you had any luck bring your families home? Please help with info if possible,Thanks,

I may totally be off target here, but it looks like you are talking about your children and not step-children. I assume that you are a US citizen, and I am wondering why your children are not US citizens?

Thanks,
Caroline

Anastassia is 6 years, she is my step daughter. Cassaundra was born in Omsk November 20,2000. When she was 3 weeks old we took her to the Embassy and she now has an American passport. I could not seperate her from her mother because she was still being weaned and besides I would not seperate Cassaundra from her mother at this age.

I understand that you do not want to separate your younger daughter from her mother. I hope that the two visas for your wife and your other daughter come fast, and good luck with everything! Most of all, I hope that your daughters get well soon!

Caroline

PS: There was a post from Oct. 11th saying that a fiancee visa had been issued. So, maybe, the worst part of the wait is over...

Thanks Caroline and God Bless, I'll check out Oct. 11 and tell my wife. This should be some encouragement for her.

Was that a visa from Moscow for a Russian, or a visa from Moscow for
someone NOT on the list of countries not covered by "special"
processing?

Charles,

Don't give up. Why don't you start calling around Washington DC and
see where that gets you. From my experience, someone will eventually
intervene on your behalf.

Fiancee visa issued in Russia!!!

My fiancee’s visa has been issued (yes she is Russian not from one of the republics) below is a copy of the e-mail received from the consulate. This agrees with the information given to her by the consulate. Olga will most likely travel to Moscow early next week to pick up her visa as it is unlikely that DHL can pick this up. I will post when she actually has the visa in her hand. I will refrain from voicing my opinion about this situation at this time.

My fiancee will be travelling to the US with her 11-year old son. He does not have his own passport but must travel on his mother's passport. Will there be 2 visa stamps in the passport or just one? We paid for 2 visas. Thanks.

Ms. (Surname deleted) visa was issued on October 8. But in order to send her ppt. back, we need to know her DHL receipt number and how much she paid for the service

Sincerely,

Customer Service Unit

Svetlana and Anastassia are both Russian citizens. We are waiting for visas for immigration. They are saying that they will not waive any conditions in their Administrative processing.

Thank you, I have a free day tomorrow, So after I talk to someone in the senators office maybe I'll have some idea of where to call.
Svetlana is taking Cassaundra back to the Urology doctor today.

Martin, there was an American ahead of me at the interview on August 1. He told me that he was told to come back at 4:00 to pick visas for his Russian wife and children. Yet, here we sit! Hard to understand. Thanks for the note.

my k visa is with Moscow as well and involves a step daughter. I have been pounding the pavement with no success, not even a clue. My feeling is that political undertones are driving this machine. CIS regions such as Kazhicstan and Ukraine are receiving visas the same day as interviews. I wish I could offer more but I'm angry and exhausted. No one seems to be accountable in government which is why there's little trust any more. You may want to visit www.global7network.com and familyvisasfirst.com

We both need some luck and that's what it may come down to.

Thanks for the global 7, I am now on their list. I'm not sure where to turn now. I've contacted everyone I can think of. It seems that it is in the hands of God and the Moscow Embassy.Svetlana started computer school 2 weeks ago. This has helped her a little. At least it consumes time. both girls have lost their English and now Anastassia is going to Russian school. Life continues in Siberia.
Thanks,
Charsvet
