When K1 visa is issued, how long to get to US?

I'd just like to check about the length of time after the foreign fiance receives their K1 visa before going to the US. Does he/she have a 6 month time limit to get there and then after he/she arrives, they have 3 months in which to get married?

Yes the K-1 is good for six months. Marriage must occur within 90 days; not three months. Remember there are some months with 28 days and others with 30 and 31 so you can't really say 3 months. When they enter the US and activate the K-1 the agent at the POE will place the expiration date on or near the I-94. One must marry by the expiration date.
