What if I File K1 to Wrong Service Center???

I live in Ohio. What happens if I send my K1 application to Vermont?

Where are you supposed to send it? Ohio comes under Nebraska.If you send it to the wrong place then that's your fault and you're only creating an unecessary delay while it floats around.

I was wondering if Vermont would process it or send it back to me or to
Nebraska. I asked the question because I know that Vermont is very fast.

I didn't. In my question I asked "what happens I SEND, not sent. I was
wondering what the INS would do if I sent it to Vermont because everyone
says they are faster. Would Vermont process it or send it back to me or
forward it to Nebraska?

There was someone who was trying to do a K3 (129F) and it got sent to NSC instead of MSC, it was months I believe before that got straightened out. Vermont would see that you don't fall under their jurisdicition (do the words NOT MY JOB ring a bell?) and send it back most likely. Why add to the burden of any Service Center when it doesn't belong there? Sorry I don't have much of a sense of humor about this, but it's tough enough to get any SC to process the applications that they're supposed to.
