We filed at Vermont and got approval on Oct 21.
We have lawyer who is taking care of our paperworks and all immigration letter are sent to his address first .
I just want to understand clearly what are the step-by-step procedure after ur case have been approved by the service center.
BTW , I'm I-130 beneficiary .
Thanks in advance for any input.

Hello gyo531,

Congratulations on your approval!

What happens next, is your NOA2 will be mailed to your lawyer. Your case will also at this time be sent to the NVC (National Visa Center). The NVC seems to receive the case about the same time the NOA2 is received. One of the first things NVC will do is give your case a new case number. This is the number that will be used for your case for the remainder of the process. From there, your name will go through some security checks.

If your name does not come up with a "hit," it will then be forwarded to the appropriate US Embassy via a diplomatic pouch. Another notice will be mailed to your lawyer from the NVC once your case has cleared NVC. In our case, it took just 6 days for our case to get through NVC.

Thank you Kaye!!
I guess I-130ers always takes a bit longer to process . Compared to K1 & K3 w/c has 30-40 days processing at the NVC , I-130 takes 50-80 days
I just got an email from our lawyer saying that they just received the original approval ( after 9 days ) but didn't mention w/c approval , but I'm guesing it's from BCIS.
Oh well , at least the ball is still on the roll
I just can't wait to be with my darling just like everybody else here .
