When DH went to get a stamp, they only gave him 6 months' worth because his case had accidentally been sent to storage (similar to what you describe) and the officer was confident the case would be resolved in that period of time.

She said she would get back in touch with you within two weeks.

Mine went from Illinois to SF then I forget where then back to SF and ended up in Fresno.

In my case the lady from Fresno did indeed call me to confirm the file had been recieved, and they would be calling me for an interview in the next 2-3 weeks.
Yes the local senators office helped me move it along, but these files can end up anywhere I was even told once and they admitted " we can't find it"

Like Rete said none of us have crystal balls, you are just going to have to wait it out like I did and many others, what ever myself or anyone else thinks its not going to make a blind bit of difference, its what the USCIS officer tells you when she calls or when you get a letter.

I will say this if you had not procrastinated and fluffed around and got your teeth into this months ago instead of always waiting to see, then you might be further down the line my friend

But I have a feeling you will be fine and its only a feeling go and have a vino or 2 or 3
