My husband has his 2 year conditional green card and is traveling back
to England on March 17 for 2 weeks. He was wondering when he goes to
England would he be required to fill out the a visitors form or would
he just go through the citizen line? Then when he returns to the USA
what would he do.......go through the visitors line or the citizens
line? Just wondering. This is the first time for him to leave and he
is nervous. Thanks

Have done this many times so from experience: On checking in at the US
end, prepare to show the gc. On reaching the UK, as a UK citizen he does not
fill in a visitor's form, and he goes throught the UK (EU) citizen lines.
When checking in to return, he will also show his gc. On arrival in the US
some airports allow gc holders into the citizen line - so look for a sign or
ask a wandering immigration officer (sometimes they have them going up/down
the lines to make sure folk are in the right place). Post your airport and
someone might know. Absolute worst that could happen is they shout at him
and send him to the back of the line if they find him in the wrong line
He shouldn't worry, it should all be easy. They might ask him on return how
long he has been out of the US. That is the only question they have ever
asked me when returning with a gc He should relax, it will be fine.
