Transit Visa?

Transit Visa?
My fiance is in Russia. We are beginning to talk of our plans for when her
K-1 is issued. She has expressed concern about taking a flight to the U.S.
that includes a stop in another country, England for example. Of course,
these type routes are far cheaper to Dallas than a direct flight from
Moscow.
My question, of course, is: Would she need any kind of transit visa from the
UK if she has to change planes or such? Any additional paperwork at all?
Thanks,
Bob

Here are a couple webpages that might help:
http://www.britain-info.org/visas/notransit.asp
http://www.france.diplomatie.fr/venir/visas/index.html
http://www.ambafrance.ru/fr/consulat/16visasindex.asp
I know for sure that France offers only 2 types of visa: long stay (stays > 3 months) and short stays (stays < 3 months).
[Aside: None of that fiance/spousal visa stuff :-). You just take him/her with you, and get his/her permanent residency papers once in France. The foreign spouse is eligible for citizenship one year after the date of the marriage. Sounds awfully good doesn't it? and we have thought more than once, to just relocate over there!]

Russian usually requires a visa for visiting the UK. However, Russia
isn't listed in Red, so TWOV (Transit Without Visa) can be done.
Requirements
1. Arrival and departure by air
2. Onward flight is documented and departing within 24 hours
3. Properly documented to destination and has visa (to destination) if
required
