Default Tax's, Poverty line, and form 1040 for interview; questions about help needed

Hello all
my fiance will be scheduled for an interview in Moscow. I need to have
my taxes prepaired for this interview. There is someting I do not
understand.Does the amount of money you need show as income before
taxes are taken out or after. For example; Our total house hold will
be 5 people after my fiance moves in. So I need to make a total of
about $27,000.00. Lets say my true income is about $47,000.00 yearly.
I have enough deductions at $47,000.00 not to pay any taxes at all.
That means after my deductions are taken out my net income is "0".
Final note. I do not recieve a paycheck. I recieve dividents from a
corperation, and file my taxes on a 1040 form.
I realize this is not a tax website, but hopefully someone out there
has experianced this. Or maybe someone can sugest a resource.

I called my lawyer with the same question and he said that it is your income that u paid taxes on, on your W2 form. Not your taxable income after deductions. But still if somebody else can verify that will be great.

What do you mean? Are you saying they wouldn't be prepared unless you
were having the interview.

How do you live? How do you deduct your housing, food, and clothing
costs?
Do you have a net of 0 every year?
