Slightly O/T: Mailed the Packet (K3 / Montreal) :)
Hey all,
Well, after bugging Rete earlier and panicing about the whole packet thing,
I finally packaged it all up (5 folders, 1" thick, weighing in @ 1 lb, lol)
and Fed-ex'ed it to Montreal. Since it wont go out until Monday, it should
be there (according to Fedex) by 9:00 AM tuesday morning.
The package was a bit large, that was to accomodate the Xpresspost envelope,
which the consulate said must be 15" x 12" total dimensions. The Xpresspost
envelope is 15.5"x12", and the Xpresspost return envelope is 15.25"x12". So,
I had to bend the end, just slightly, of the return envelope. Just a silly
bit of info for those doing/or about to do, the same thing. I included the
single return reciept, although Montreal asked for '2' return reciepts,
Canada Post only issues one master, and two copies of your actual payment
reciept. So, I included the master, and one of my payement reciepts.
Jenn had sent me the $65 US postal money order to cover the MRV fee. I
paniced once again, because it said "Negotiable only in the U.S. and it's
possesions." But I quickly realized that 1) The consulate is a possesion,
considering it's on U.S. 'soil' 2) That it's made out to the U.S. Treasury
anyway, and 3) I would imagine they'd have thier own banking system that's
U.S. anyway. Least I hope so.
Well, here's hoping! I'm expecting the unexpected to happen, along the lines
of an RFE, or a letter asking me to come for an interview. This is so I
don't freak out if something as such DOES happen. And if it doesn't happen,
I'll be both curious and happy
Even tho it says on the cover letter Montreal sent me: "Interviews for K3
applicants are very rare unless we discover something drastically wrong or
unmatched in your application" I figure they interview everyone anyhow. I
know for SURE they do interviews for all fiance(e) applications (K1) but I
haven't read lately if what they say is true about the K3, and not requiring
an interview.
-Any thoughts, or experiences on this?-
Thanks guys/gals, best of luck to all, and if/when something happens, I'll
post it

Typo correction :-P
It should be:
"The return Xpresspost envelope is 15.5"x12" and the FedEx envelope is
15.25"x12" in total."
Instead of:
"...which the consulate said must be 15" x 12" total dimensions. The
Xpresspost
envelope is 15.5"x12", and the Xpresspost return envelope is 15.25"x12"."
"The return Xpresspost envelope is 15.5"x12" and the FedEx envelope is
15.25"x12" in total."

At one point, I e-mailed Montreal about a K3 matter. They replied
that they try to do K3's via e-mail if they can, so they are probably
right about not needing an interview.
