Service Center Choices
Guys,
I am about to submit my adjustment of status application (i-485) based
on employment. I heard that since I live in Atlanta, I have two
choices as far as the service centers to submit my application. I can
either go to Vermont or Texas Service Center. Is this right? Also,
which one is faster? Thank you in advance for y'all help.
cheers

This map says you only have once choice, Texas

Re: Service Center Choices
Thanks for responding to my Q.
By the way, anybody notices that the I-485 processing time for Vermont
Center does not look right. Its I-485 processing time for last month
was 9-15-2001 and it is 9-15-2002. Did they really process the whole
year applications in one month????

Re: Service Center Choices
No, it is usual for INS to err in putting the right year in the table. It
has happened in every update for the last 3-4 months.
The AILA receives an update/correction after a few days, or sometimes, the
AILA wisens up and changes the year to a more realistic 2001. Most sites
update their information from AILA (American Immigration Lawyers
Association).
