RFE's on IMBRA I-129F
Hi:
I'm writing from San Antonio, Texas where the 55th Annual Texas Square Dance and Round Dance Convention is currently being held. As part of the AILA National Conference, there was an open forum with officials from USCIS this afternoon. This included Steve Bucher, Acting Director CIS Servivce Center Adjudications and Don Neufeld, Acting Director, Field Operations, USCIS.
It was announced that RFE's are NOW being issued on the I-129F's subject to IMBRA requesting the information now needed. These are "boilerplate" being issued in "batch processing". In response to a question from the moderator on how long it will take to complete this issuance -- the answer was succint and to the point -- "shortly."
A specific request was made to NOT submit the required information in advance of receiving the RFE.
It was further noted that these RFE's are limited to the IMBRA information and will not foreclose a second invidualized RFE after the IMBRA response is made.
[BTW, the AILA conference usually overwhelms most conference facilities -- we are in a back corner of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center and we are knocking around. The Square Dance people have three times as many people and they sure dress better.].

Re: RFE's on IMBRA I-129F
Hi,
Does anyone know if the delays due to additional information required
by the USCIS will affect K3 (spouse) visas? Is the additional
information required only for K1 (fiance) visas, or for both K1 and K3?
Thanks!
