Refresh my memory please
I just got a phone call from a friend of mine in my old home town wondering
about the whole immigration process. She has met a wonderful man on the
Internet, and of course every one and their dog in that small town knew I up
and moved to the United States....)
So, it's been a day or two since I had to remember all those great sites
where the beginner goes for all the facts. If some of you would be so kind
to post them for me, I will make sure she reads up and educates herself
before she starts posting all her newbie questions! )
Thanks in advance
Bonnie
PS This makes three of us that I know of from the old home town (pop 2700)
who have met our wonderful men on the Internet.

Here we Yanks only thought we imported the Canadian Cold Front, Geese and Snowbirds ;-)
Have your friends checkout www.britishexpats.com and the marriage-based visa forum. There is a root post at the top with links to the FAQ. Depending on where the USC lives the K-1 seems to still be the way to go for speed if you are in VSC, like yourself and us. K-3 if they live elsewhere and not worried about being married and apart for 3 to 6 months.

Re: Refresh my memory please
Thanks Rete
My Canuck friend has met a fella in Pittsburgh...I asked her if she couldn't
have found a nice man in the sunny south!
I sent her the links and told her to start reading up, and that the news
group is a great place to post when she is ready to get that paperwork
rolling.
