Hey Guys
Me and my wife rent a house, but the landlord's lease is a very basic one that only required one signature at the bottom, so my wife signed it. However, it does use our last name. Does anyone know if this is qualifies as showing "joint tenancy of a common residence"? Or would we need to have another copy of the lease with my signature on the bottom?

Signature means nothing as you can sign it without the landlord's permission. It is the name(s) that are included within the wording of the lease that matters.

There's so much more documentation that you can provide that I wouldn't worry about a single rental agreement. My wife and I provided electricity, gas and phone bills, bank and credit card statements, pay slips, holiday and vacation photos, affidavits from friends and family. Not everything has both our names on it, but they all share the same address. My wife even kept her maiden name and we still didn't have any problems.
