Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers

Hi Everyone,
I have to have some serious medical tests done and I'm pretty worried. If you could keep me in your thoughts and prayers I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks everyone. Had the tests this morning. Have to wait for results. Said it will be a few days. The waiting is torture!

That sucks. I have to pick up blood work results today as well, never fun but even worse when they could tell you something life changing and you have to wait.

Good luck PB. I'm in a similar boat right now, having to wait a friggin month to get in to see the specialist. Hopefully your news will be all good!

One thing I learned is that although specialists book up quickly and it takes a while to get in, there are ways round it. If you really want to see them sooner, call every day. Usually they don't book all available appointments and will release them a few days before they are and people cancel. When I've the need to go quicker than the 2 months they tell me, calling up every day has always got me in within 48 hours. you have to know your schedule and be willing to drop everything though, once I was offered an appointment that was within 2 hours of when I called!

I'm lucky with my insurance plan. They have their own clinic and I was able to get my sonograms, xrays and blood tests pretty quick. No co-pay to see the doctors there either and $20 for lab fees. Sonograms were free since they did them there. It was pretty uncomfortable though. I saw a doctor there a few weeks ago who I did not like but the one I saw last week was very nice. I am seeing her again on Sunday. Sometimes I think in NYC it is easier to get a doctors appointment since there is so much competition. I do have a wide choice of doctors and specialists to choose from. The lab techs obviously can't tell me anything from the tests though and they look so serious it worries me!
