photo specs
Since it came up last week, I started to worry (after all, what else have I
got to do) about which pix we need for our K-1 interview in London... and
how many. I have read conflicting reports on this NG. So I went straight to
the source. The Consulate in London says...
"The photographs must have a white background and must be glossy,
unretouched, unmounted, and identical. The dimension of facial image should
be about 1 inch from chin to the top of the hair; the subject should be
shown in 3/4 frontal view showing the right side of face with the right ear
clearly visible. No earrings should be worn. Immigrant Visa applicants are
required to furnish four photographs, fiancé(e)visa applicants are required
to furnish three photographs; Kii visa applicants two photographs and V visa
applicants one."
Just thought that might help anyone else who was confused.

Re: photo specs
And to add a bit of clarifying detail, a "Kii visa applicant" is a K3, not a
K2.
The reason you read conflicting reports from London is that even tho the
photo requirements were changed in the Foreign Affairs Manual in March 1999,
the Consulate has the discretion to use whatever photo they choose, 3/4
frontal or straight-on.
"The consular officer may use a previously submitted photograph, if he is
satisfied that it bears a reasonable likeness to the applicant".
