It talks about only 3 visas. The K1, K2, and K3. What about the K4????

The bill was referred to the Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security,
and Claims on 06/25/2003. This where it will probably remain and die.

Go to http://thomas.loc.gov/ and type H.R. 2235 in the "bill number"
search box and read this actual bill.

I signed the petition, which brought it to a grand total of 178 people,
that should send fear through Congress. LOL

They have a zip code search box in the upper right corner where it will pull up all the representatives for your area and you can select whether to send them emails/letters/fax (predetermined templates or your own custom letter). Correspondence sent directly to your representative will be much more effective than signing a petition online. The FairUs site seems to be against immigration by and large, but it makes it as easy as possible to convey your opinions to your elected representatives - even if you want to oppose something they support. Another related peition as mentioned by an earlier post is HR 946 which also seeks to temporarily stop issuing certain visas.

Regards,
Amol

Let me be the first to correct myself - FAIR isn't necessarily against immigration, but they do support putting (temporary) stops on immigration to reduce the load on the system (HR 946 and HR2235).

Not only that, but the stopping of all non immigrant visa is a bill that
will never pass.
