packet from Chennai
hi
my fiance is dealing with the chennai consulate. he received a packet containg:
1. Appointment letter for fiance visa
2. Visa instructions for fiance immigrgant visa applicants
3. Application for immigrant visa and alien registration
4. nonimmigrant fiance visa application; supplement to form OF-156
5. evidednce which may be presented to meet the public charge provisions of the law
6.medical examination form and instructions
7. nonimmigrant visa application
8. instructiuon about police certificates
my fiance was asked to go to the consulate any weekday except mondays.
he is getting ready with the documents and may go to the consulate for the interview in couple more days.

Could you please elaborate on the "instruction for fiance immigrant visa application"?
Do you know how many doctors are in his area that are approved to do the medical exam? how long is the wait?
If you can post this info and updates as they come in, it would really be a huge help to me. My brother's fiance is going through Chennai as well.

I am processing k3 as well from chennai now .....not sure why it went there .....we have asked for mumbai ....any way i have decided to proceed with it .....actually i work in mumbai and my permanent residence as well the place of marriage is chennai ....my wife received noa from nvc on feb 21 stating the case number begining with mdr and till date they haven't received the file .......its almost a 21 days now
can u please tell me how long it took for u to get packet3 info and appointment after u r second noa

The instruction form listing the lab/doctors in the Chennai area is
available at the Consulate's website. I downloaded it, and had my
fiancee take the medical exam before she received the letter from the
embassy. But, doing the doctors exam will be a problem, without the
letter from the embassy most doctors will not do it.
