Please do, I'd be interested to hear his reaction.
My suspicion is that no attorney will accept such a clause in his retainer agreement.
- a 'good' attorney would never make claims such as the one that we heard in that other post ("I can get that approval in under 6 months"). They will tell you the truth - no outcome can be guaranteed.
- a 'dodgy' attorney has his eye focused on his fee, not on his client, and is not going to risk a penny of the fee no matter what claims he makes to attract the client.

Re: Nebraska Question
Leslie, my "anti-attorney rant" as you call it is my personal opinion which
is what we are all in here exchanging. I wasn't harassing anybody and my
post was polite.
You really proved my point when you said "good attorney." They are few and
far between. The average person rarely if ever needs one so they don't know
who the good ones are. They usually just go to the yellow pages and look
under immigration. This newsgroup has been chock full of sad stories about
petitioners being screwed over by greedy and incompetent shark lawyers who
lie to potential clients as AwfulEcho's lawyer flat-out lied to him.
The "time, stress and research" you speak of is not so bad for some. Most
people file the simple, easy forms, follow the simple, easy instructions and
get results. But as I said, a lawyer is necessary obviously if you have
legal issues.
You want to call me cheap, fine. Not all of us earn big incomes and have
$2500 laying around to give these guys to file two sheets of paper. Some of
us actually work hard, earn modest incomes, must budget our money and that
$2500 is a LOT of cash to us. Too bad I'm just middle class I guess.
